When the Master Took My Hand

When I was just a little girl the thought never occurred

That one day I’d grow up with troubles to endure.

Heartaches and disappointments, hurts and rejection too,

Humiliation most of all…but then I met You.

When the Master took my hand, there was a sweet release

Overwhelmed by His awesome love, I found a perfect peace.

His love is everlasting, it’s healing, and it’s true

Can’t you see, Oh Child of God, this love is meant for you?

One day I saw a weeping man sitting all alone

His clothes were torn, hair a mess, he didn’t have a home.

He reminisced of his past, where hopes had all caved in…

Sinking deeper than ever before into the bondage of sin.

But, when the Master too his hand, there was a sweet release

Overwhelmed by His awesome love, He found a perfect peace.

His love is everlasting, it’s healing, and it’s true.

Can’t you see, oh Child of God, this love is meant for you?

Oh, Child of God it’s time for all of us to see

That Jesus is the only way of life for you and me.

Let’s open up our hearts for Jesus to come in,

He’ll change your life, give you hope, deliver you from sin.

When the Master takes your hand, you’ll find a sweet release,

Overwhelmed by His awesome love, you’ll find His perfect peace.

His love is everlasting, it’s healing, and it’s true

Can’t you see, oh Child of God, He’s reaching out to you.

 

Psalm 100:5 “For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.”

Thank you, Lord, that Your mercy endured forever.
