Acceptable Risk is an engaging, well-plotted romantic suspense novel. Lynette’s detailed scenes prove she did her homework and researched protocol with the FBI, ICE, Police, and other government offices. This novel is realistic and plausible. Her characters are well-developed and believable. The action begins with the opening scene and continues until the end. Strap yourself in for a roller coaster ride of suspense, narrow escapes, and near-death experiences.
Army Military journalist, Sara Denning finds herself taken hostage while serving in the Middle East. She stands up to her abductors, willing to give her life to save the lives of those with her until Army Ranger Gavin Black comes to the rescue. But the danger is not over.
Sara wakes up after being shot and discovers she is back in the States with a medical discharge for psychiatric reasons. She is furious and determined to reverse the diagnosis and return to the Army.
Sara and Gavin work together after Sara’s brother commits suicide. His death stirs a lot of questions, and rightfully so. The suspense intensifies as the duo suspects foul play and begins investigating. More twists and edge-of-your-seat action falls into play.
Will Sara be able to reverse the psychiatric diagnosis and return to the military? Will she and Gavin escape the attempts on their lives? Will they discover the truth behind her brother’s death?
